What is feedback?
" Feedback is information about what was and was not accomplished given a specific goal? (Wiggins, 2004)"
All students will participate in self assessment and peer assessment regarding their fitness portfolio. Developing your knowledge and understanding of analysis in PE and becoming greater coaches, providing appropriate feedback to your peers. SFBS would like to introduce a framework for feedback which will be implemented in all PE lessons from August 2012 (see info-graphic below). The info-graphic displays guidelines for feedback while coaching, self assessment or providing peer assessment in PE lessons. Please consider the framework whilst completing the self & peer assessment below:
Self-Assessment
It is essential as athletes to reflect and analyze on your performance to become the best you can be in a sport. Assessing your performance and training provides you with the skills to improve in your sport. Each week students will reflect and analyze on your training, posting a sticky on wall wisher on what went well? and even better if? using the framework for feedback.

Peer Assessment
Each pair of students will review and assess another pair partner challenge. Providing feedback and evaluating their work using the following google form. Please use the Framework for Feedback as a guideline for your feedback.

Teacher Assessment
The teacher will use formative assessment, utilizing the data gathered from the students on a weekly basis from the 12 minute cooper run. All data will be inputted into the google doc spreadsheet, for each year group for 12 weeks. The teacher will assess the self & peer assessment feedback on a weekly basis comparing the comments to the Framework for Feedback. The students fitness portfolio will be a continual assessment using the Fitness rubric to analyze their progress and performance over the year.
